I graduated in 1989 from Auckland University in New Zealand with a Bachelor of Laws and worked for several years in New Zealand’s commercial district specialising in High Court Litigation. My clients were varied from individuals to large corporations. My specialist areas were Contracts (Building and Employment), Commercial transactions and later, Family Law. I no longer work as a lawyer.

I am a resolution focused professional and have a good understanding of people and their motivations. I am a critical thinker with strong analytical and communication skills.

I currently manage NTM Consulting and work on company projects. My most recent project was for Netball New Zealand and involved facilitating workshops and writing documents to enable 17 centres to form into 5 partnership groupings.

From early 2010 to September 2011 I was asked to set up and manage the claims division of Origins Group Limited (Building Consultants) representing many clients in their Weathertight claims, including tribunal appearances and settlement meetings. I have represented builders, designers and maintenance companies as well as owners.

I contracted to Unitec Institute of Technology for over 15 years delivering several Courses including; Sport & Law, Law and Ethics, Enquiry and Communication and Introduction to Research. While at Unitec I worked in an innovative centre which began the move toward future-proof learning, utilising blended and flipped models of learning designed to assist students to develop core critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Throughout my time at Unitec I was involved in pastoral care of students, mentoring and career advising.

I was Secretary of the Katherine Mansfield Society (an International Charity) as well as doing some work for the Rascal Trust (Autism support).

My passions are Sport, History and Good Food and Friends
